2020 Candidate Says ‘We’re All Going to Die’ if We Don’t Stop Using Fossil Fuels

Climate alarmism is a powerful tool of the liberal left, and there is no doubt that the intensity of the 2020 Democratic primary is going to bring it out in droves.

The clear frontrunner in the race is Joe Biden, former Vice President under Democratic deity Barack Obama.  With just over a month left until the Iowa caucuses, Biden is gripping and clawing at the mantle, however, with a number of more progressive candidates nipping at his heels.

In order to maintain his lead, it appears as though the former VP is dipping into the ultra-left’s bag of tricks with some good, old-fashioned doom-mongering.

Biden made the apocalyptic pronouncement while discussing climate change before a crowd of supporters in Peterborough, New Hampshire.

“If we don’t stop using fossil fuels–” an attendee began a question to the candidate.

“We’re all dead,” Biden interrupted.

Earlier in the event, Biden vowed as president to hold energy giants liable for global warming and made a pledge to even jail executives.

“We have to set sort of guide rails down now, so between the years 2021 and 2030, it’s irreversible – the path we set ourselves on. And one of which is doing away with any substance for fossil fuels – number one,” Biden said.

Of course, climate change doomsday predictions have been around for decades, starting in the 1970’s when scientists believed that an increase in CO2 emissions would trigger a new ice age.

The fear of such a catastrophe forces Americans to look toward their government for solutions, (as the problem is too large to tackle alone), and this creates a dependency on government that the Democrats tend to prefer in their voters.
