Power hates a vacuum, and Lindy Li says Democrats left one wide open. She watched the chaos from the front row. Now she says socialists are filling the void because no one else is there.
Li, a former Democratic fundraiser, told Fox News that the party has no real leaders right now. She sees the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) stepping in to take control. The group is winning primaries and pushing a hard-left agenda across the country.
“They’re simply filling a vacuum. There’s no one there.” Her words hit hard after years of warnings about the party’s direction.
Li remembers running for Congress in Pennsylvania back in 2018. She faced pressure to sign a DSA questionnaire just to stay in the race. These forms forced candidates to agree with extreme views they might not actually hold.
“These over-educated bums, which populated the DSA — that’s what they are — basically forced me to adopt its platform by handing me a questionnaire,” Li recalled. She said she had no choice but to fill it out or lose the chance to run.
The answers stuck to her forever, even showing up on her Wikipedia page. She never said those things, but the questionnaire made it look like she did. This tactic traps candidates and forces them to pledge loyalty to a radical group.
Li warned that this strategy is now spreading nationwide. She noted that the DSA looks stronger because the main party is so weak.
Today, she asks, who is the candidate? “We don’t know.” The lack of a clear leader leaves the door open for radicals to take over.
Li points a finger at Ken Martin, the chair of the Democratic Party. She says he is failing to stop the socialist takeover. In her view, the party is broke and leaderless.
“Keep in mind that the Democratic Party right now is so broke they put up their own headquarters up as collateral because they took out a loan,” Li said. “They’re broke. They have no money. Ken Martin is a joke.”
She has been warning about this for years. “I did a Fox News documentary in 2020 warning against the DSA; I kid you not,” she said. “I kid you not, these people have been poisonous for a very long time.”
Her new book, “Unburdened,” will come out later this year. It details how the party lost its way. The DSA is not hiding anymore. They are using the chaos to win and change the rules.
This isn’t just a fight between two political groups. It affects every family dealing with rising costs and bad policies.
