There is a sickening feeling coming over Washington DC as of late, as it becomes every more apparent that this impeachment process is doomed to fail.
We as a nation have known for a long time that the Senate would be voting swiftly to acquit the President should articles of impeachment ever make their way to the higher chamber of Congress. This knowledge has been the source of great frustration among We The People, of course, because it perfectly illustrates the folly of the Democrats: They know that they are going to be thwarted, yet they continue to waste taxpayers’ time and money in order to disparage Donald Trump.
It is for this reason that many believe impeachment to be nothing more than a way for the left to damage the President ahead of the 2020 election.
House Intel Chair Adam Schiff isn’t even hiding this fact anymore.
Schiff briefly addressed critics who say that Democrats should simply wait for the American people to judge the president in the 2020 election.
Democrats, Schiff suggested, cannot allow that, because it would essentially allow Trump to “cheat” in one more election. His remarks echo the Democrats’ longheld belief that the Trump campaign “colluded” with Russia in 2016, despite the fact that the Mueller report debunked the narrative, finding no evidence of collusion or conspiracy between the two.
“The argument, ‘why don’t you just wait?’ comes down to this: Why don’t you just let him cheat in just one more election?” Schiff stated. “Why not let him have foreign help one more time?”…
Constitutional scholar and impeachment witness Jonathan Turley stated during his sworn testimony that this was the “thinnest” impeachment case he has ever seen.
