Adam Schiff Puts Kibosh on GOP Plan to Call Hunter Biden as Impeachment Witness

From the very onset of this wacky “impeachment inquiry”, the Democrats have done their damnedest to skew the rules into their favor.

From secret hearings in a far-flung corner of the Capitol basement, to the latest limiting “resolution” vote, the liberal left is grasping at the reins of this constitutional process as if their lives depended on it.

Even now, with public hearings schedule to begin next week, there seems to be no consensus among Congress as to what exactly will and won’t be allowed to occur.  The latest testimony tiff comes to us from House Intel Chair Adam Schiff – a man who has often found himself in the role of the villain during the impeachment process.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) issued a statement response to a letter from ranking member Devin Nunes (R-CA), stating he would not run a “sham” investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden as part of the impeachment effort against President Donald Trump.

“This inquiry is not, and will not serve, however, as a vehicle to undertake the same sham investigations into the Bidens or 2016 that the President pressed Ukraine to conduct for his personal political benefit, or to facilitate the President’s effort to threaten, intimidate, and retaliate against the whistleblower who courageously raised the initial alarm,” he said.

Nunes’ letter included a list of witness House Republicans want  testify at next week’s inaugural open impeachment hearings, including the younger Biden, his long time business partner Devon Archer and Alexandra Chalupa, a former Democratic National Committee staffer who worked with the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington, DC.

The Democrats have proven time and again that their impeachment “inquiry” is not interested in understanding the root of the issues surrounding their own UkraineGate conspiracy theory.

Rather, the left has made it quite clear that they intend to focus solely on attempting to revers the results of the 2016 election.
