Sometimes, political theater is far more humorous than it intends to be, and this Democrat-led rush to impeachment is certainly one of those cases.
A peek inside the progressive coop belies a soberingly chaotic scene, as House Democrats are frantically flailing about the nation’s capitol and pushing a narrative that appeals only to the mainstream media and their thirst for blood.
It’s gaslighting mixed with propaganda, sprinkled with hyperbole and vitriol, like the sort of stew that stirs the nation to the brink of disaster.
Much of the reason for the wild flailing has to do with the Democrats’ refusal to vote on whether or not to endorse “impeachment” as a thing. In defense of their reticence, House Intel Committee Chairman Adam Schiff is now attempting to claim that the secrecy is all a part of their plan.
“We want to make sure that we meet the needs of the investigation and not give the president or his legal minions the opportunity to tailor their testimony and in some cases fabricate testimony to suit their interests,” the California Democrat said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
Schiff said they may call some or all of the witnesses to return to testify in public later, though that might not include the whistle-blower who triggered the impeachment fight in the first place.
In reality, this clandestine maneuver is little more than a “reset” for the liberal left, as President Trump’s patented 4D Chess moves have been supremely effective in politically bullying the Democrats into submission as of late.
