There is a supreme amount of silliness currently flooding our American political process, and it’s more than a little bit disheartening.
These are allegedly the best and brightest Americans that we have in Washington DC, working on behalf of the rest of us. We expect to be able to hold them to a higher standard, right?
Wrong.
Another grand example of the immaturity of our elected officials has arisen this week, involving none other than the epitome of the radical left: Freshmen House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said on the nationally syndicated radio morning show “The Breakfast Club” that President Donald Trump is “scared” of her.
Co-host DJ Envy said, “Like with the president. The president threw some shots at you that I think he would never say to your face.”
Ocasio-Cortez said, “Oh no, he would not.”
And why is that?
Ocasio-Cortez “Yeah. Well, I mean, I think he’s scared. I think he is scared.”
AOC has been at odds with President Trump for the entirety of both of their political careers which, combined, is at about 5 years.
Of course, this pedantic insult lobbed in the direction of President Trump could be interpreted as a dog whistle to the liberal mob frothing at AOC’s feet. She needs to remind the world that she still exists, and that she will be up for reelection soon. With impeachment and the rest of the real news dominating the mainstream media, Ocasio-Cortez may have just been feeling a little left behind.
