Dem Strategist Carville Calls the Primary Election: ‘Shut This Puppy Down’

It looks as though the Democratic Party has gotten themselves into a serious pickle in the 2020 election.

You see, their youth voting bloc has long believed in the work of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, and in the revolution that he’s promised them.  Without the Bernie Bros in tow, the Democrats don’t stand a chance against Donald Trump in the general election….just ask Hillary Clinton how we already know that.

But, instead of heeding the cacophony of warnings about yet another mass exodus from the party, the Democrats went ahead and shunned Sanders again.

Longtime Democratic strategist and television news stalwart James Carville called it during an appearance on MSNBC Tuesday night.

Carville said, “We can’t ditch these Democratic voters who are coming out saying, let’s get on with this thing. Our mission is to defeat Donald Trump. There’s a 99 [percent] chance that Vice President Biden is going on the nominee. Let’s shut this puppy down, and let’s move on and worry about November. This thing is decided. There’s no reason to keep it going, not even a day longer.”

He continued, “It’s the Democratic voters that made this decision. Vice President Biden is not trying to force him out. You’ve got to respect voters.”

This declaration will almost certainly frustrate Sanders’ supporters, who already believe that there is some vast conspiracy to usurp their candidate brewing within the Democratic establishment.

Carville has been openly in opposition to Bernie Sanders for some time, which may have also played a role in his enthusiasm to make this call.
