The Democratic Party has not had a terribly smooth go of it in the 2020 primaries, and the nerves are starting to show.
The race is essentially a two-horse affair: Former Vice President Joe Biden and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders remain, but Tuesday’s results from Michigan could seal the deal for the former veep.
That is, if he gets out of his own way.
Detroit workers will tell you that auto factory floors are tough, but Joe Biden wasn’t backing down when a worker came at him on a factory tour Tuesday morning.
Courting votes in Michigan’s very important primary — which some believe could be the final stand-off between Biden and Democratic rival Bernie Sanders — Biden wasn’t exactly jolly.
“You’re gonna take away our guns,” the worker tells Biden as he walks by in close quarters, surrounded by workers and the media.
Biden misses no beat before responding, “You’re full of sh**.”
Biden has had several bizarre outburst during the 2020 election, with a bit of a temper to boot.
Just weeks ago, Biden called a woman in the audience at one of his campaign events a “lying, dog-faced pony soldier” – a moment that quickly became fodder for just about every late night comedy writer in the country.
Before that, the former Vice President confronted a man at another campaign event, both body-shaming the attendee and calling him “a damn liar”.
