DeSantis Takes Shot at ENTIRE Republican Party as Announcement Looms

At this point, it would be far more shocking to find that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has decided not to run for President than vice versa.

The Sunshine State lawmaker has been making all of the requisite on-ramping thus far:  Meeting with mega-donors, dropping campaign teaser trailer videos, and expanding his national political presence.

The latest subtle clue about his intention comes as DeSantis looks to create the narrative that he is the numero uno slayer of “The Wokeness”.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis slammed fellow Republicans for acting like “potted plants” instead of fighting against the left’s “woke ideology” during an event Thursday, according to a report.

DeSantis made the accusations as he touted the Sunshine State as the country’s new “leading red state” during a speech at a three-day event hosted by the political group Club for Growth — which dozens of the biggest GOP donors attended, Fox News reported.

“If woke ideology takes over, it will destroy this country. We are not going to let that happen in the state of Florida,” he said during his 40-minute speech at a Florida seaside retreat called The Breakers.

And then, cultivating an authoritative tone by admonishing his own party:

“You can fight back, and you can beat these people,” he said. “Because in Florida, we’ve beaten them time and time again — on education, on lockdowns, you name it — we’ve come out on top. And not only have we come out on top in policy, we’ve transformed the state into the nation’s leading red state.”

The Florida presidential hopeful has already been on the receiving end of some heavy criticism from former President Donald Trump, who suggested that DeSantis’ potential 2024 campaign would paint him as “disloyal” after The Don worked so hard to help him get elected as Governor.
