It has become rather apparent over the course of the last several months that the White House just isn’t interested in righting the ship. In fact, as Americans, it is beginning to feel as though Sleepy Joe is simply going through the motions and trying to ride out the rest of his term without getting himself impeached for a lack of progress.
And if the American people are so keenly aware of the issue, so, too are the staffers as the White House, who’ve been jumping ship en masse.
The latest staff shakeup comes from the press office of the First Lady, and it arrives just weeks after an embarrassingly tone deaf remark from Dr. Jill Biden.
First Lady Jill Biden’s press secretary Michael LaRosa is leaving the White House, according to a report from CNN.
“For nearly three years, from the campaign to the White House, Michael has brought an encyclopedic knowledge of politics and media to my team as my spokesperson and adviser,” the first lady told CNN.
“On a small team, loyalty and friendship are lifelong – we will miss Michael. However, we are excited for him to begin a new chapter in his career.”
LaRosa plans to join the public affairs firm Hamilton Place Strategies after he leaves the White House.
There has been significant tumult within the first lady’s office of late.
The news breaks after the first lady experienced a series of embarrassing incidents in her official position.
On July 12, LaRosa had to apologize for the first lady’s embarrassing speech to the Latino community, after she compared them to breakfast tacos.
The news comes after a lengthy string of departures from the White House, and amid reports of “bullying” being the cause for some of the resignations in the East Wing.
