The 2020 election has been one of the most harrowing and tumultuous political contests that this nation has ever seen.
On one side we have Joe Biden: The Democrats’ failsafe, and a reluctant candidate that was goaded into running only on account of the notion that he could steal moderate midwestern voters away from Donald Trump.
And then there’s Trump himself, who has turned out to be one of the most bombastic and polarizing Presidents in modern history. His base is growing ever more fervent by the minute, but also struggling to maintain their numbers as the Commander in Chief’s behavior turns wilder.
This tumult in the contest has forced some political operatives into manic states, as they grow desperate to make ends meet for their party.
Billionaire Mike Bloomberg announced Sunday he would spend as much as $100 million in Florida to defeat President Donald Trump in his must-win state.
The infusion of cash comes as polls indicate a tightening of the race between Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden, who are deadlocked in a recent Marist Poll, and as Floridians start voting by mail at the end of the month.
Biden’s support among Hispanic voters is in double digits yet remains relatively low for a Democrat who wants to carry the state according to surveys of Latinos in Florida and Miami.
Bloomberg has long loathed Donald Trump, stemming from their time together in New York City.
The former Mayor even launched a brief and uninspiring presidential campaign earlier in this election cycle, but was forced to step away after failing to qualify for a number of ballots and debates.
