GOP Senator Says Trump Should Bring Hunter Biden to Witness Stand

What the liberal left fears the most at this moment is the possibility that someone could prove that Donald Trump’s requests during an infamous July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky were warranted.

The left has painted the picture that Trump was attempting to leverage US military aid to Ukraine in order to have the newly elected President of the tiny European nation announce the opening of investigations into former Vice President Joe Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine, particularly as they pertained to his son Hunter’s job on the board of Burisma.

In fact, as the President has previously stated, this was a general request to look into wholesale “corruption” in Ukraine, which is a prerequisite condition of the military aid being released to Zelensky in the first place.

If the Bidens were found to have acted unscrupulously, then the President’s concerns would be validated, and this is why congressional Democrats have not allowed either Biden to face the witness stand.

Senator Ted Cruz thinks that the President should step in to make this happen.

From a recent appearance on Fox News:

Cruz said, “If the president wants to call Hunter Biden, if the president wants to call the whistleblower, due process mandates we allow the president to present his case. We should do so. That is the question for the president and legal team.”

Furthermore, the GOP may feel entitled to call such an astounding witness during the trial, given just how lopsided the Democratically-led House impeachment process was.
