GOP Splits Even Further in Half as Trump ROASTS McConnell!

While it certainly does appear as though the GOP will make major strides in the midterm elections of 2022, there are still concerns that the party itself is on the verge of a hugely deleterious split.

There has been a rift brewing for some time within the Republican Party, as the Trump-led MAGA Movement continues to implore the mainstream GOP to reshape the party in their image.  And, given their incredible voting power, (and their absolute conquering of the news cycle), the old guard is certainly on notice.

Now, in what is undeniably a symptom of this impending doom, former President Donald Trump is taking aim at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in a brutal fashion.

Former President Donald Trump said Sunday that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is a “disaster” and that the Republican Party is desperately in need of new leadership.

During an appearance on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., Trump told host Maria Bartiromo that McConnell made a mistake by allowing President Biden’s bipartisan infrastructure law to pass in the Senate.

“I call it un-frastructure, not infrastructure. It’s only 9% infrastructure,” the former president said.

“There was no way that should have been passed. It should have been 100% for infrastructure,” he continued. “So what’s happening is, we had a thing called the debt ceiling, and he could have used that to win everything, and he chose not to.”

Then came one heck of a soundbite.

“Mitch McConnell’s a disaster. The Republicans have to get a new leader,” he said.

The statement, while bold, certainly sums up the state of affairs on the right side of the aisle at the moment.
