On Wednesday night, Donald Trump addressed the nation. And, boy, was it a doozy.
The President was seated in the Oval Office and speaking from a teleprompter – something that you can tell that he doesn’t really like to do. Trump has always been better off the cuff, which is much the opposite of former President Barack Obama whose blathering off the top of his head was only allowed because of his ability to stick to a speech and make it work.
Trump is far more of a creative freestyler, and he looked a bit like a caged animal on Wednesday night, speaking to us all about what he’s going to do to mitigate the impact of this coronavirus issue.
The reason for the teleprompter was simple, however: The President needed to get some very specific information to the American people in a hurry, and this was the best way to do it.
In this address, President Trump called for unity in the face of the virus, particularly in the political arena as our legislators will need to work together in order to keep this mess from getting out of hand.
Of course, not everyone took that message to heart.

Clinton was joined by 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden in criticizing Donald Trump in the hours after he announced an aggressive and thorough plan to curb the virus’ unkempt spread.
