Hollywood A-Lister Teams Up with Barack Obama to Help Joe Biden’s Fundraising

The Democrats are going to need all the help they can get in order to see Joe Biden elected president in November.

Not only was Biden not the first choice of the Democratic base, (not by a long shot), but his performance on the campaign trail has been laughable at best.  The former Vice President has unleashed a whirlwind of gibberish at nearly every turn, and, when that has failed, he has simply turned to insulting voters.

Biden is now a few days away from announcing his choice for VP, which actually may have leaked online earlier in the week thanks to a well-timed photograph of his podium notes.  The choice is a disastrous one, and should send Biden packing in rather short order come election day.

Yet, still the Democrats continue to call in favors from Hollywood and the Washington establishment, in an effort to keep his candidacy afloat.

Former President Barack Obama is being joined by actor and activist George Clooney on Tuesday – for a virtual conversation and fundraiser to raise money for former Vice President Joe Biden.

It’s the second time Obama has headlined a fundraiser on behalf of Biden, his vice president for his eight years in the White House.

The two men teamed up virtually last month for a fundraiser that hauled in $11 million – the 2020 presumptive Democratic presidential nominee’s single most lucrative fundraising event. More than 120,000 people signed up to attend the online event.

Hollywood has clearly been in favor of a Biden presidency this whole time, so this move is perhaps only surprising in its sheer desperation.
