House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has reportedly obtained information revealing that Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, received wires totaling more than a quarter of a million dollars from inside communist China in 2019. The funds, amounting to $260,000, were sent to Hunter Biden, listing the address of Joe Biden’s home in Delaware as the beneficiary.
This revelation comes as a result of a subpoena for bank records, with financial institutions producing documentation of two wires originating from Beijing and linked to BHR Partners. BHR Partners is a joint venture involving Hunter Biden’s company and a Chinese investment firm where Hunter Biden served on the Board of Directors.
The wires, sent during the summer of 2019, were reported by Fox News. They indicated that Hunter Biden was named as the beneficiary, but curiously, Joe Biden’s Delaware residence was listed as the recipient’s address. Although it is known that Hunter Biden lived in the Delaware home at various points from 2017 through 2019, the report does not clarify whether he resided there during the specific times the wires were sent in July and August of 2019, totaling $10,000 and $250,000, respectively.
Chairman Comer remarked on the findings, asserting, “Bank records don’t lie but President Joe Biden does.” He went on to reference President Biden’s previous claims in 2020 that his family had never received money from China, stating that such assertions had already been proven false earlier in the year.
Comer emphasized the potential national security implications of the situation, contending that Joe Biden’s alleged abuse of public office for his family’s financial gain poses a threat. He questioned the use of the funds from Beijing, declaring, “Americans demand and deserve accountability for President Biden and the First Family’s corruption.”
