From the very beginning of President Trump’s political career, something seemed amiss. The Deep State was out to get the populist business mogul, and they certainly weren’t shy about.
During the 2016 presidential debates, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton continuously pushed the idea that Trump was some sort of Kremlin double agent, despite her inability to provide any shred of evidence to back up her claims. Soon, it became obvious why: The Obama administration was cooking up a conspiracy theory that tied Trump to Vladimir Putin, and he was using the FBI to cook up some evidence of the purported mischief.
We know now that there wasn’t enough evidence to charge Trump with a crime in the case, despite $25 million spend and 22 months’ of probing.
President Trump has likened this to an attempted “coup”, and he’s even giving it a name now: ObamaGate.
On the night of Saturday, May 9, President Donald Trump tweeted five Fox News clips: One from Sean Hannity’s Hannity, two from Jeanine Pirro’s Justice With Judge Jeanine, and two from Jesse Watters’ Watters’ World.
All of the clips were about a supposed “coup d’état,” as the Fox anchors called it, committed by the Obama administration during the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election. “Obamagate, that’s the subject of tonight’s ‘Watters Words'” segment, Watters said. “The Obama people got caught this week and it looks like it goes straight to the top.”
Invoking No. 44’s name has riled the leftist base, of course, and just in time for the 2020 election in which Trump will again face off against an establishment figure in Joe Biden…just so long as the mounting corroboration of a sexual assault allegation against him doesn’t see him ousted from the presumptive nomination.
When voters head to the polls, they’ll be forced to choose between Trump’s anti-Deep State ethos or a compromised candidate who had a front row seat to the ObamaGate nonsense.
