J6 Fishing Expedition Expands Their Net Again

The 2022 midterm elections appear to be heading in a fairly substantial direction, as Democratic President Joe Biden’s approval rating continues to plummet amid a backdrop of liberal infighting the likes of which we haven’t seen perhaps since the late 60’s.

And when that election comes, the work of the January 6th select committee will likely be over.  A Republican victory seems likely, and without a Democratic majority in the House, the committee won’t likely survive.

This has conjured a quickness in the proceedings, and an overly-broad scope that some have suggested is merely a way to expose their political enemies ahead of the election.  Now, as if to telegraph that intention, the group is widening their net once again.

The criminal investigation into the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol has expanded to examine the preparations for the rally that preceded the riot, as the Justice Department aims to determine the full extent of any conspiracy to stop Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s election victory, according to people familiar with the matter.

In the past two months, a federal grand jury in Washington has issued subpoena requests to some officials in former president Donald Trump’s orbit who assisted in planning, funding and executing the Jan. 6 rally, said the people familiar with the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.

The news will likely irk members of the Republican Party, who have already warned that the “witch hunt” has been all-encompassing enough.
