Jan 6 Committee Issues WILD New Subpoenas for Provocative Politicos

If there is one thing that we’ve learned about the select committee investigating the events of January 6th, it’s that they have no concept of moderation.

Instead of working in a tactical and targeted way, they appear to simply be spraying subpoenas all over the right side of the political spectrum, hoping to snag anyone who’s willing to talk to them before they are eventually and inevitably disbanded after the red wave of the 2022 midterms.

And, speaking of willing to talk targets, they had better be careful what they wish for with their latest round of requests.

The House select committee investigating the January 6 riot issued a new round of subpoenas on Monday to five of former President Donald Trump’s allies directly involved in planning “Stop the Steal” rallies, including longtime Republican operative Roger Stone and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

The latest batch of subpoenas indicates the committee continues to focus, in part, on organizers and funding of the “Stop the Steal” rallies that took place on January 5 and 6, as well as earlier rallies in the months leading up to the US Capitol attack.

Jones and Stone are some of DC’s most notorious and slippery provocateurs, and, should they choose to sit in front of the committee, their testimony would likely expose the greater population to some of the ins-and-outs of MAGA’s beliefs on the 2020 election.  The Democrats, as foolhardy as they have proven to be, would be mistaken to take their testimony in a public setting.
