Joy Behar Shares Her Prediction For Trump Once He’s Out Of Office

A discussion about President Donald Trump’s military actions and political future sparked a heated moment on ABC’s The View this week, when co-host Joy Behar predicted that Trump’s name would eventually be removed from buildings after he leaves office.

The exchange occurred during a segment in which the panel debated Trump’s recent decision to launch military strikes against Iran and the political fallout surrounding the move.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg opened the conversation by referencing commentary suggesting divisions among Trump supporters.

“You know who just said in an interview that MAGA loves what he’s doing, but it sounds like there’s a little bit of discord here,” Goldberg said. “There’s a lot of angry people.”

Behar responded by questioning the motivations behind Trump’s decision to authorize the strikes, suggesting the timing could be linked to economic concerns.

“There’s something fishy about why he did it,” Behar said. “I mean, I don’t trust him anyway, and they all lie. But why is he really doing this?”

She went on to argue that the administration may be facing pressure over economic issues such as rising costs for food, gasoline, and other everyday goods.

“People want the prices of food to go down. They want eggs to go down, they want gas to go down,” Behar said, pointing to recent market fluctuations and rising oil prices.

Behar also referenced a sharp drop in the stock market earlier in the day, noting that the Dow Jones Industrial Average had fallen roughly 880 points, while oil prices were reportedly climbing.

She speculated that the military action could serve as a political distraction from economic concerns, referencing the phrase “wag the dog,” a term often used to describe the use of foreign policy crises to shift attention away from domestic issues.

Behar also relayed a comment from a friend who suggested that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have influenced Trump’s decision to take military action against Iran, possibly framing the operation as beneficial for Trump’s historical legacy.

“What legacy?” Behar said. “The minute he is out, every name is coming off of every building. No one’s going to ever hear from him again.”

Trump’s name appears on a range of properties around the world through the Trump Organization, including hotels, golf courses, and residential towers. Some properties bearing the Trump brand have previously removed the name in response to political controversies, while others continue to operate under the branding.
