A loud crash startled a resident on North Sea Mecox Road, who quickly called 911, fearing that someone might have been seriously injured. When the police arrived, they discovered a knocked-over fence and a sign, but no vehicle in sight. However, there was a clue left behind: the Jeep’s number plate.
According to reports, Romy attempted to flee the scene, leaving behind only her license plate as evidence. She’s now facing a summons for leaving the scene of an accident. And in a twist that’s sure to raise eyebrows, she’s being represented by Edward Burke, a top lawyer who also defended her father during his highly publicized legal battles.

Speaking of Matt Lauer, many of you will remember him as the former co-host of NBC’s “Today” show. Lauer has largely stayed out of the public eye since his fall from grace in 2017, following a slew of sexual misconduct allegations that emerged during the height of the #MeToo movement. These allegations, which included serious claims of sexual harassment and assault, led to his dismissal from NBC and a massive shift in his once glittering career.

Romy, now 20, is a finance student at the University of Miami, where she met her boyfriend, Spanish tennis player Antonio Pratt. While her life might seem like a whirlwind of fancy parties and exotic vacations, this recent incident has cast a shadow over the glitz and glamour.
Interestingly, despite the scandal surrounding her father, Romy has kept a visible presence on social media, even featuring Matt Lauer in a TikTok video back in 2019. The Lauer family, however, has been through significant turmoil, especially after Matt’s ex-wife, Annette Roque, filed for divorce in 2006, citing emotional distress and mental abuse. Though they reconciled briefly, their marriage ultimately ended in 2019.
