Lindsey Graham opens ‘SpyGate’ investigation with bombshell statement

For months, the Trump presidency was plagued by accusations of ludicrous relationships with the Russian government in an attempt to somehow delegitimize The President’s electoral evisceration of Hillary Clinton.

Throughout that arduous of odious process, nothing of substance was discovered, and Donald Trump was not subject to any additional charges by the Mueller team.

As the dust settled, one question shone brighter than all, however:  Just why did the Obama administration focus these efforts on Trump to begin with?  For many, the answer to that question lies within the realm of a FISA warrant application related to the notorious “Steele Dossier”.

The Republicans are now looking into this precursory predicament with a vengeance, at least according to Lindsey Graham.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, told Breitbart News exclusively on Monday evening that his committee is planning hearings soon, beginning with Department of Justice (DOJ) inspector general Michael Horowitz as soon as Horowitz releases his imminent report on the origins of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

“The Horowitz report is coming soon,” Graham said Monday evening when reached by phone. “The focus of the Judiciary Committee will hear testimony from him, and follow whatever leads the report gives us about the FISA warrant and the counterintelligence investigation. So my number one goal is to hear from Horowitz and make a record of how the system got off the rails regarding the counterintelligence investigation and the FISA warrant.”

Graham said he expects Horowitz’s report to come “in a couple of weeks,” and his Judiciary Committee will be holding a hearing with the Inspector General as soon as that comes out.

The maneuver coincides closely with the Democrat-led “formal impeachment inquiry” being conducted by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and crew; a probe the has largely been heralded as “RussiaGate 2.0” by the conservative media.
