There seems to be an enormous rift in the Democratic Party at the moment, and nothing that the establishment tries to do to patch it has worked thus dar.
We are a mere 7 months away from our 2020 election, and the Democratic Party has shown that they have yet to heal from the 2016 affair, in which Hillary Clinton was found to have colluded with the DNC in order to rig the contest against Bernie Sanders.
While no direct evidence of similar foul play has been unearthed here in 2020, the Bernie Bros are still incredibly wary of the party establishment.
Today, after Bernie shocked his hardcore followers by endorsing his former rival Joe Biden, several of the Vermont Senator’s staffers are jumping ship.
Briahna Joy Gray, who served as Sanders’ national press secretary, and prominent Sanders surrogate Shaun King immediately took aim at Biden — and they made it clear just how much the former vice president’s platform differed from Sanders’ longstanding policy goals.
“With the utmost respect for Bernie Sanders, who is an incredible human being & a genuine inspiration, I don’t endorse Joe Biden,” Gray wrote. “I supported Bernie Sanders because he backed ideas like #MedicareForAll, cancelling ALL student debt, & a wealth tax. Biden supports none of those.”
The move, which was incredibly surprising for Berne’s base, now has many wondering aloud why former President Barack Obama hasn’t endorsed his former Vice President – including current President Donald Trump.
“I don’t know why President Obama hasn’t supported Joe Biden a long time ago. There’s something he feels is wrong,” Trump said last week.
“He knows something that you don’t know, that I think I know. But you don’t know,” he added. “I’m sure he’s got to come out at some point because he certainly doesn’t want to see me for four more years.”
If the Democrats keep going the way they’re going, four more years of President Trump will be the least of their concerns.
