Hello everyone, welcome back! Without further ado, let’s delve into the latest political news that has drawn attention. This weekend, we saw a unique development when Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the former speaker of the House of Representatives from California, put forth a bold suggestion during an interview. Pelosi suggested that President Joe Biden should be added to the prestigious American monument, Mount Rushmore.
This dialogue occurred during a “Sunday Morning” show on which Pelosi engaged in various discussions. Her comments come after Biden’s decision to withdraw from the presidential race against former President Donald Trump. His decision was publicized following a noteworthy dip in his poll numbers after the June presidential debate, during which he reportedly displayed indications of cognitive impairment.
According to Pelosi, Biden was at “the top of his game,” implying that he was well-positioned to make this decision. She proceeded to depict Biden as a “consequential president of the United States,” even comparing him to the stature of presidents whose faces are ingrained on Mount Rushmore.

Returning to Pelosi’s interview, her words left journalist Leslie Stahl somewhat surprised. Stahl asked Pelosi to affirm her statement’s seriousness.
“Lincoln and Joe Biden?” Stahl asked.
Pelosi’s response? She affirmed her statement. She continued to recognize the greatness of Teddy Roosevelt, whose face is gracing Mount Rushmore, expressing no intention to remove him. However, she was resolute in her belief that Biden could be a valuable addition to the monument.
“But you’ve got Teddy Roosevelt up there, and he’s wonderful,” Pelosi said. “I don’t say take him down, but you can add Biden.”
So, there you have it! This is the news that has sparked conversations and thoughts about the idea of Biden on Mount Rushmore. Although this is merely a suggestion and far from becoming a reality, it’s always a clown show to witness the political landscape through the lenses of politicians like Pelosi.
