On Monday, a disturbing trend of pro-Hamas protests causing chaos across the country came to a head.
These so-called “protests” were nothing more than an excuse for radical supporters of Hamas to block major transportation gateways and intimidate innocent civilians. The scenes were reminiscent of the lawlessness and anarchy seen in the aftermath of the George Floyd protests.
One of the main targets of these protests was the Golden Gate Bridge, where a small group of terrorist sympathizers managed to bring traffic to a halt for an extended period. In New York, protesters took over the Brooklyn Bridge, and similar scenes played out at multiple airports across the country. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and needs to be met with swift and decisive action from law enforcement.

But unfortunately, as is often the case when liberal leadership is in charge, police were nowhere to be seen during these protests. In San Francisco, where the Golden Gate Bridge was taken over, police stood idly by, doing nothing as these radical individuals blocked traffic and harassed drivers. Their inaction only emboldens these extremists and encourages them to continue pushing the boundaries.
Thankfully, not all states are under the control of spineless liberal leaders. In Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis and his team have shown that they are not afraid to take action to restore order. In a video posted by Gov. DeSantis’ communications director, we see the kind of decisive leadership that Florida is known for. Pro-Hamas protesters were quickly and forcefully removed from the streets, and order was restored. That’s how it’s done.
But it can’t stop there. These individuals need to face the full consequences of their illegal actions. They should be arrested and charged to the fullest extent of the law, including jail time and heavy fines. This kind of lawlessness cannot be tolerated in a civilized society.
What we saw was nothing more than a blatant attempt to intimidate and spread chaos by radical supporters of a terrorist organization. Their actions have no place in our country, and we must stand united to denounce and stop them. As for those who continue to support Hamas and engage in these kinds of protests, they should take notice. Florida is not New York, and they won’t tolerate this behavior.
