President Set to Make MAJOR Announcement on Reopening the Nation on Thursday

There is a delicate balance at play today, between reopening our stagnating economy and practicing the social distancing that is necessary to beat the coronavirus back into obscurity.

At some point, we will reach a point in which the law of diminishing returns will apply, in which the economic damage that we face is greater than the danger the virus itself poses.  The problem is that it is nearly impossible to know when you’ve reached that point.

President Trump, with the help of a bevy of experts, has created a plan to reopen the nation, and he hopes to release this plan to the public on Thursday.

President Donald Trump confirmed Wednesday that the White House coronavirus task force would release new guidelines for reopening the country on Thursday.

“The battle continues, but the data suggests that nationwide we have passed the peak on new cases,” Trump said. “Hopefully that will continue, and we will continue to make great progress.”

Coronavirus Response Coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx said that the last five or six days showed declines in coronavirus cases across the country.

But she said that Americans should still practice social distancing guidelines, acknowledging that asymptomatic carriers of the virus could still spread it.

“To all of you that are out there that would like to join together and have that dinner party for 20, don’t do it yet,” she said.

Trump will almost certainly face criticism for the plan – as he does with any and all plans that he makes – from the radical, “resistance” wing of the Democratic Party.
