No matter how many times Nancy Pelosi is going to remind us that politics in America are a “somber” affair, our elected officials are always going to find a way to gloat. That’s their very nature, and it endears them to us.
We don’t want nice elected officials, we want representatives who get work done, so knowing when to rub salt in the wound of a political opponent is a primo skill to possess.
President Donald Trump has had no problem with this, often lashing out on Twitter against his legislative nemeses before the mainstream media can report on whatever infraction triggered the tweet.
Now, just a few weeks removed from Trump’s acquittal in his Senate impeachment trial, the President is gloating in a big way…with a literal victory lap.
President Donald Trump became only the second U.S. president to attend the Daytona 500 on Sunday, but he did so in style by taking “The Beast” presidential limo for a lap around the track head of this year’s race.
With first lady Melania Trump sitting beside him, the president rode the 18-foot-long limo around the track as the race crews prepared to for one of the nation’s top auto races.
Video of the event was priceless.

And while the Democrats are certainly eyeing this stunt with a predictable amount of annoyance, one can’t help but admit that this is just plain cool.
