The next few weeks are going to be more than a little bit heartbreaking, America. We are on a dimly lit path that will take us two grueling weeks to walk. There is a light at the end fo the tunnel, but, before we get there, we are going to lose a lot of folks.
This virus has no prejudice either, affecting all manner of Americans. From police to pig farmers, Hollywood a-listers to the bartender at the local dive bar. Coronavirus is going to crash the party regardless of who’s hosting it.
One of the latest famous faces to come down with “the ‘rona”, (as the kids are calling it), is CNN prime-time pundit Chris Cuomo, whose brother Andrew just so happens to be the governor of New York – the state in which there are currently more coronavirus cases than anywhere else in the country.
CNN anchor Chris Cuomo said Tuesday that he has been diagnosed with Covid-19.
He is feeling well, and will continue to anchor his 9 p.m. program “Cuomo Prime Time” from his home.
“In these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated by the day, I just found out that I am positive for coronavirus,” Cuomo wrote in a message on Twitter.
“I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had fevers, chills and shortness of breath,” he wrote. “I just hope I didn’t give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness!”
Chris and Andrew briefly traded jabs on Twitter following the diagnosis, with the Empire State Governor expressing concern that his younger brother could have accidentally transmitted the virus to his mother.
