Things aren’t so bloody great over in Jolly old London Town in 2020, as a series of major scandals simultaneously rock Buckingham Palace.
First, there was the sudden departure of Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle to Canada, where the two will be living without official titles or support from the Royal Family.
Then there’s Prince Andrew, who is having a difficult time explaining just why he and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein were so close, and why some of that child sex trafficker’s victims have positively identified the Prince as being intimately involved in nefarious business.
Even the FBI seems to be having trouble cracking this nut.
A U.S. prosecutor overseeing the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking investigation said Monday that Britain’s Prince Andrew has been uncooperative in the inquiry so far.
Speaking at a news conference outside Epstein’s New York mansion, U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman, the top federal prosecutor in Manhattan, said prosecutors and the FBI had contacted Prince Andrew’s lawyers and asked to interview him.
“To date, Prince Andrew has provided zero cooperation,” Berman saiD.
At the time of his suspicious “suicide” in prison, Epstein was facing several charges of child sex trafficking and conspiracy to commit that act.
Prince Andrew isn’t the only high profile world citizen that Jeffrey Epstein cavorted with. The wealthy “financier” had also been spotted palling around with former and currents US Presidents, foreign heads of state, and any number of Hollywood celebrities.
