There are undoubtedly folks within the Republican Party who are ready for Rudy Giuliani to simply go away.
Sure, he’s the President’s personal lawyer, but he is also a veritable liability during the current push to impeach Trump for his alleged extortion of Ukraine. This is because Rudy Giuliani was the alleged “point man” in the supposed deal, and the former NYC Mayor tends to err on the side of showmanship.
In other words, Giuliani’s been known to let a few things slip here and there, and many are concerned that he could torpedo the President’s defense.
Yet, he continues to turn up like a bad penny. This week, Rudy was conjured in rare form, spouting and sputtering on about how he has “the goods” on the Bidens, and threatening to release that information.
“Everything I tried to tell the press last March is now coming out, and more. I will now start to reveal the evidence directly to you, the People,” the former New York mayor tweeted. “The Biden Family Enterprise made millions by selling public office. Then when Joe was Obama’s Point Man, they ALL made millions.”
Giuliani’s claim that he could reveal evidence detrimental to the former vice president follows his offer to testify in Trump’s impeachment trial taking place in the Senate.
“I would love to see a trial. I’d love to be a witness – because I’m a potential witness in the trial – and explain to everyone the corruption that I found in Ukraine, that far out-surpasses any that I’ve ever seen before, involving Joe Biden and a lot of other Democrats,” he said Sunday morning on “The Cats Roundtable” with radio host John Catsimatidis on AM 970.
The Biden family’s business deals in Ukraine have been a constant focus of Giuliani, according to testimony from White House insiders during the House Intel Committee’s hearings on the subject of impeachment.
