Special Counsel’s Latest Trump-Centric Subpoena is STUNNING

With Donald Trump cruising easily to the top of the GOP polling for 2024, those who’ve been trying to damage his chances at reelection are running out of time.

Trump’s early entry to the coming presidential race achieved a number of specific things.  First, it forced anyone else considering an entry into the race to take a step back and decide just how much money they want to spend trying to tamp down excitement for the de facto leader of the mighty MAGA Movement.  Jump into the contest too soon, and you run the risk of banging your head, (and your wallet), against the juggernaut that is Trump’s political machine.

This has given Trump a great deal of space to stretch his legs and take a commanding lead over any and all potential usurpers.

One candidate who had earlier expressed interest in joining the race could see their plans obliterated after a shocking subpoena from the special counsel investigating Trump.

Former Vice President Mike Pence has been subpoenaed by the special counsel overseeing investigations into former President Donald Trump, sources confirmed to Fox News.

The subpoena came after months of negotiations between Pence’s legal team and federal prosecutors, though the Justice Department declined to comment on that matter.

The probe is being led by Special Counsel Jack Smith who is looking into both documents and testimony related to the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol and into Trump’s possible mishandling of classified documents after leaving office.

As for the possibility that Trump will be interviewed, the former President didn’t think it likely.

Trump said last year that he “won’t partake” in the investigation against him, calling it “the worst politicization of justice in our country.”

“I have been going through this for six years — for six years I have been going through this, and I am not going to go through it anymore,” Trump told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview Friday shortly after the announcement. “And I hope the Republicans have the courage to fight this.”

Despite the lengthy and continued probes into the former President, Trump has yet to be charged with any crime whatsoever, leading many Americans to believe that this is all nothing more than a political witch hunt.
