With now less than 100 days until Americans head to the polls, there are only a few surprises left to be had in the 2020 election, but one of them is still a doozy.
In November, the nation will cast their ballots. Now, very nearly at the beginning of August, we still don’t know who Joe Biden’s running mate is going to be. The former Vice President has yet to choose a veep of his own, and has thus far only given us the indication that it will indeed be a female.
Now, one intrepid photographer may have just given us a pretty damning clue as to who ol’ Joe is leaning towards.
A photographer grabbed a shot of Biden’s handwritten notes with a section titled “Kamala Harris,” which was followed by a list of attributes.
“Do not hold grudges.” “Campaigned with me & Jill.” “Talented.” “Great help to campaign.” “Great respect for her.”
Harris, a presidential candidate before dropping out in 2019, has endorsed and campaigned for Biden since March. But she once was one of his most ardent opponents on the campaign trail, criticizing his stance on busing for school integration in the 1970s.
Kamala Harris would be an extremely troublesome running mate for Biden, especially at this juncture in American history, as a racial revolution has given way to a litany of calls for major reform to our national policing system.
Harris’ past career as a hard-nosed prosecutor known for handing down heavy sentences in even non-violent drug cases simply won’t jibe with the Democrats’ support of these police reform measures.
