Trump Holds Rally In Allentown, PA -Addresses Biden Comment

Zoraida Buxo, one of Puerto Rico’s nonpartisan shadow senators, has decided to throw her support behind former President Donald Trump, announcing her endorsement at his rally in Allentown, Pennsylvania. For those keeping count, this isn’t just another “celebrity endorsement” or generic political backing. Buxo is one of the most prominent voices advocating for Puerto Rican statehood—a topic many Democrats like to champion in their platform but rarely deliver on.

NBC’s Dasha Burns was the first to confirm Buxo’s plans to appear at the rally, which reportedly will feature multiple Puerto Rican speakers, underscoring Trump’s growing appeal in Puerto Rican communities. And in a bold post, Buxo made her stance clear, saying, “Don’t have the slightest doubt, [Donald Trump] is the firm leader that PR needs to take us out of territorial limbo and do justice.”

For Puerto Rico, that “territorial limbo” isn’t just political jargon; it’s a real, long-standing issue. Buxo went on to reaffirm her 2016 support for a constitutionally valid process that respects the will of Puerto Rican voters, adding that this support “is reaffirmed today.”

This endorsement isn’t coming out of the blue, either. As the Associated Press highlighted, a 2020 referendum showed that 53 percent of Puerto Ricans voted in favor of statehood. Now, Buxo sees Trump as the candidate committed to making statehood a priority. Trump himself made a statement reiterating his support for a constitutional process that respects Puerto Rico’s wishes, saying, “As president, I will do my part to ensure that Congress follows the Constitution.”

Meanwhile, Democrats are doing their best to whip up outrage over a joke made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe at Trump’s recent Madison Square Garden rally. In his roast-style performance, Hinchcliffe referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage”—a cheap shot that reportedly fell flat with the MAGA crowd. Trump’s team was quick to distance themselves from Hinchcliffe, with Trump personally clarifying that he doesn’t even know who Hinchcliffe is.

But, predictably, Democrats have seized on the joke as their latest reason for outrage. Despite their best efforts, it seems Hispanic voters aren’t buying it. In fact, in areas with high Hispanic populations, like Miami-Dade, the GOP has continued to gain ground, with Republicans taking the lead in early voting numbers.

You should also note that the Dem Mayor in Allentown tried to shut the Trump Rally down. Running scared, aren’t they?

All this handwringing from the Democrats? It’s not really about the joke. It’s about losing their grip on voters they once took for granted while Trump and the GOP keep proving they’re serious about issues that hit home for Puerto Ricans and Hispanic communities across the country.
