Tom Homan Reveals Massive ICE Probe Into Ilhan Omar

White House border czar Tom Homan has officially confirmed that federal agents are looking into Rep. Ilhan Omar. The probe checks if she obtained her U.S. citizenship through fraud, according to the Washington Times. This is not a rumor anymore. It is an active case involving marriage rules and immigration laws.

Homan told a reporter on Sunday that the investigation is moving forward. He said, “I’m confirming that ICE is — yeah. Look, I said months ago, that is something that’s been reported, and it needs to be looked at,” per the Daily Wire. He would not give specific details about what agents found yet. But he made one thing very clear: no one is above the law.

Rep. James Comer, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, wants the public to see the evidence. He spoke on Monday night about the allegations against Omar. Comer believes the government has proof that Omar married her own brother to bring him to the United States. “We know that she married her brother to try to bring him to the United States,” Markwayne Mullin said on a podcast, as reported by the Washington Examiner. Mullin is the Homeland Security Secretary.

Comer is pushing for a vote on whether Omar should stay in Congress. He told a reporter, “I think they should make it public,” per the Washington Examiner. He added that the evidence shows federal officials know more than he does. “Absolutely, make it public. The evidence that I’ve seen would show that they would be privy to a lot more evidence than I would have,” he said. Comer wants the American people to see how their leaders vote on this issue.

Attorney General Todd Blanche declined to comment on the ongoing probe. He told reporters he could not discuss criminal investigations. “I’m not talking about ongoing criminal investigations,” Blanche said. “And so, I’m not — I don’t have anything to say about your first question,” per the Daily Wire. Homan echoed this, noting he cannot give specifics on what is happening right now.

However, Homan did not rule out stripping Omar of her citizenship if fraud is found. He stated, “I mean, if someone committed [an] immigration violation and someone committed marriage fraud or anything like that, regardless if they’re a congresswoman or not, no one’s above the law, so I’ll leave it at that. We’ll let HSI, Homeland Security Investigations, continue the investigation,” per the Daily Wire. The Washington Examiner notes this comes after Mullin said Omar is a naturalized citizen since 2000.

Vice President JD Vance also weighed in earlier. In May, he said the Justice Department was actively looking into the fraud claims, according to the Daily Wire. The Trump administration has launched a broader effort to remove foreign-born individuals accused of lying during the immigration process.
