Trump Responds To Harris Decision To Prep For Event

Well, folks, here we are, just two weeks out from the big election, and Vice President Kamala Harris is… taking a day off. That’s right—while most candidates would be sprinting to the finish line, Harris is apparently taking a little breather. And, of course, Donald Trump had something to say about it, because why wouldn’t he? During a roundtable event in Doral, Florida, Trump couldn’t help but mock Harris for sitting this one out, laughing along with the crowd as he joked, “Who the hell takes off when you have 14 days left?!”

It’s a good question, isn’t it? Most candidates, especially those trying to win over undecided voters in the final days, would be working overtime. But Harris? Nah, she’s “off,” as Trump so gleefully pointed out. And let’s not kid ourselves—Trump wasn’t just making jokes. He called Harris “lazy as hell” and reminded everyone that she’s the most radical of the radical left. Further left than Bernie Sanders? Check. Further left than Elizabeth Warren, aka “Pocahontas”? Double check. But hey, why campaign when you’ve got Barack Obama and Eminem doing it for you, right?

Senator Tommy Tuberville nailed it when he said this would be like a football coach deciding to skip practice two weeks before the national championship. But hey, maybe the strategy is just to keep her out of sight, out of mind. Less camera time, fewer mistakes? Makes you wonder if the Harris campaign realizes she’s more of a liability than an asset.

The irony is hard to miss here. While Trump is rallying his base, Harris is spending her downtime preparing to talk about, you guessed it, abortion—again. She’s heading to Texas to focus on the one issue the Democrats have latched onto like a life preserver, despite the fact that it’s not going to move the needle in a deep-red state like Texas. But hey, when your campaign is as uninspiring as hers, I guess you stick to what you know.

It seems the Harris campaign has decided to keep her off-camera as much as possible—probably a smart move, considering her track record with interviews. She’s prepping for an NBC interview, which, of course, will be pre-taped because heaven forbid anything should go off script. It’s hard not to laugh when you compare that to Trump, who’s been described as the “Energizer bunny” by his allies. He’s everywhere, doing event after event, barely sleeping, and clearly energized by the campaign trail. Meanwhile, Harris is gearing up for a 15-minute interview. Inspiring, right?

What’s really telling, though, is the way Harris’ campaign has outsourced much of the heavy lifting to Obama. He’s out in Detroit, probably trying to fire up the base by bringing out Eminem, of all people. Let’s face it, when your best bet for motivating voters is trotting out a 51-year-old rapper, you know something’s gone awry. But apparently, this is what passes for strategy in the Harris camp.

Meanwhile, Trump is doing what he does best—energizing his supporters, mocking his opponents, and hammering home the message that the Harris-Walz ticket is, well, lazy. And you know what? It’s working. The American people see it. They see Trump out there, putting in the work, while Harris rests up for her next pre-taped performance.

So, as we head into the final stretch, just remember this: one candidate is out there fighting tooth and nail, while the other is taking days off and outsourcing her campaign to anyone willing to step in. Which one sounds like a leader to you?
