Trump Attorney’s File 68 Page Motion In Trump Classified Doc Case

Donald Trump’s lawyers filed a 68-page document in a Florida case on Tuesday night. According to the filing, the document contends that special counsel Jack Smith concealed evidence relating to his office’s collaboration with the Biden administration. The document is asking the initial judge to require Smith to produce any other evidence of bias or political animus.

They claim that some documents obtained through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests were heavily redacted and have revealed politically motivated operatives within the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and the Biden Administration who have been pushing for a classified documents inquiry since 2021.

The lawyers accused the Special Counsel’s office of disregarding basic discovery obligations, as well as Department of Justice policies and the fact that they have disregarded fundamental fairness and legal obligations. They are implying that special counsel Jack Smith is acting to support the Biden Administration’s attempts to weaponize the justice system in their favor.

Trump’s team argued that the Biden Administration cannot achieve its objective on the campaign trail. Therefore, they are using the criminal justice system as a way to slow down President Trump’s leading campaign in the 2024 presidential election.

The filing alleges, “The patent absurdity of the Office’s efforts is illustrated by the fact that, while working toward a historic landslide victory in the Iowa caucuses yesterday, President Trump was also preparing to bring to Your Honor’s attention today the record of misrepresentations and discovery violations that have marred this case from the outset and illustrate that the Office has disregarded fundamental fairness and its legal obligations in favor of partisan election interference.” The FOIA details also expose the involvement of NARA, the White House Counsel’s Office, as well as senior officials at DOJ and FBI.

Trump’s legal team has issued specific requests regarding the evidence of bias within the intelligence community, any communications between the Biden administration and Fulton County prosecutors, the evidence of “improper coordination” with NARA, and any other communications between the Special Counsel’s office and the Biden administration. The document also claims that Trump will dispute the claim by Smith’s team that Mar-a-Lago was not secure and that classified materials could be compromised at the location.

These revelations are indeed “…disturbing, but not surprising.” It has since been clear that the “Deep State” in the Biden administration has been pushing baseless investigations against Donald Trump, despite their inability to prove any wrongdoing.

Trump’s legal team is essentially pointing out that this current investigation is just another means through which the Biden administration is trying to interfere in the political process. The filing further suggests that the Biden administration is obsessed with blocking the possibility of Trump running again in the 2024 election and stopping him from achieving a “historic landslide victory.”
