President Donald Trump didn’t hold back this weekend when he turned his attention to Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice, demanding to know why investigations into some of the Democratic Party’s most notorious figures still appear stalled.
In a fiery Saturday evening post, Trump vented the frustration felt by many of his supporters, raising the question: why hasn’t there been more movement against James Comey, Adam Schiff, and Letitia James?
“Pam: I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that, essentially, ‘same old story as last time, all talk, no action. Nothing is being done. What about Comey, Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, Leticia??? They’re all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done,’” Trump wrote.
The president reminded readers that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard had already referred Comey to DOJ over possible criminal activity tied to the fabricated Russia-collusion narrative — a hoax that dominated the early years of Trump’s presidency. Meanwhile, reports have raised serious questions about Schiff and Letitia James engaging in mortgage fraud, allegedly misrepresenting their primary residences to secure favorable financial terms.
Trump also revisited a key personnel decision in Virginia, accusing a “woke RINO” U.S. attorney candidate — pushed heavily by Democrats — of sabotaging progress. “He even lied to the media and said he quit, and that we had no case. No, I fired him, and there is a GREAT CASE,” Trump insisted, pointing to the chorus of legal experts who say charges are justified.
The president then contrasted his treatment with the indulgence shown to Democrats: “They impeached me twice, and indicted me (5 times!), OVER NOTHING. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!!”
The urgency in his post was unmistakable. Trump argued that every delay not only hurts him politically, but also undermines the credibility of the entire justice system.
In a follow-up Truth Social post, however, Trump balanced his frustration with praise for Bondi, calling her “very careful, very smart, [and someone who] loves our Country.” Still, he said what she needs is tougher prosecutors in key districts — and that’s where Trump signaled his next move.
He announced his intention to nominate Lindsey Halligan as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, an office he called “very important.” “She will be Fair, Smart, and will provide, desperately needed, JUSTICE FOR ALL!”
The backdrop here is telling: Republicans are clamoring for accountability after years of what they view as weaponized justice against Trump and his allies, while prominent Democrats like Comey, Schiff, and Letitia James appear untouched despite a growing list of allegations.
Trump’s message was clear. He’s tired of delays. His base is tired of delays. And unless the DOJ starts showing progress, the perception of a two-tiered justice system will only harden.
