The numbers don’t lie, but China very well might have.
As COVID-19 exploded onto the global scene from Wuhan, the rest of the world was at the mercy Beijing. We were forced to rely on the ultra-secretive communist regime for information regarding this potentially catastrophic event, and boy, did they dupe us.
As soon as this novel strain of coronavirus hit Europe, medical professionals began sounding the alarm over the faulty data that they had been studying from Beijing. Thanks to this nefarious or negligent information, Italy and Spain were soon overrun with cases.
When American lawmakers caught wind of the deception, several immediately called for China to be held accountable.
Today, as Beijing continues to play the blame game, President Trump lashed out at those who dare to deflate China’s role in the disaster.
President Donald Trump on Wednesday blasted an unnamed official from the Communist government in China for comments on the coronavirus pandemic.
“Some wacko in China just released a statement blaming everybody other than China for the Virus which has now killed hundreds of thousands of people,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Wednesday morning.
It is unclear who the president was referring to, but he has repeatedly challenged Chinese Communist Party officials for trying to shift blame for the pandemic that started in Wuhan to other countries. The Chinese government continues arguing they did nothing wrong in handling the virus, which spread worldwide.
“Please explain to this dope that it was the ‘incompetence of China,’ and nothing else, that did this mass Worldwide killing!” Trump wrote.
There is little doubt that China will be a target of the world’s ire in the coming months, but just how Beijing will respond to these criticisms has yet to be seen.
