WORLD WAR III was Trending on Twitter, and You Won’t Believe Why!

Sure, there are plenty of folks out there who believe that Donald Trump is no fit for the highest office in the land, but the latest attacks on the Commander in Chief are simply absurd.

Trump’s successful assassination of Iran’s General Qasem Soleimani, a man you employed terror at every turn, has drawn outrage not only from Iran, but from many American liberals as well.  There is no telling whether they oppose the geopolitical maneuver or simply Trump himself, of course.

In their hyper-reactive state, the leftists who despise The Donald caused a heck of a scare online on Friday, forcing “World War III” to trend on Twitter.

After news of his death broke, the country’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei sparked fears of war after he promised ‘harsh vengeance’.

Many of those tweeting about the airstrike used memes to bring light to the situation, joking about fears it could spark ‘World War 3’ – a phrase now trending on Twitter.

Searches for ‘World War 3’ also spiked on Google within hours of the airstrike in Iraq overnight.

Google Trends recorded ‘Iran’ as the second most searched term in the United States, with more than 500,000 searches for the topic.

Many of the posts were lame attempts at humor, however:

Iran has promised a “harsh” retaliation to the assassination, but at no time did they indicate that this could blossom into a global conflict.
