Activists Protest Co-Star In New Blockbuster

Gal Gadot’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Tuesday was met with a chaotic mix of celebration and protest, as demonstrators from both pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian factions made their presence known.

What should have been a moment of personal achievement for the Israeli actress turned into yet another flashpoint in the ongoing Middle East conflict.

According to Variety, dozens of protesters arrived just before the event began, chanting slogans and holding signs such as “Heroes Fight Like Palestinians”, “Viva Viva Palestina”, and “No Other Land Won Oscar”.

The crowd launched into chants like “Up up with liberation, down down with occupation” and “Not another nickel, not another dime, no more money for Israel’s crime.”

Yet, despite the disruptions, Gadot remained poised and focused on the significance of the honor. “I’m just a girl from a town in Israel,” she told the audience. “This star will remind me that with hard work and passion and some faith, anything is possible.”

Gadot’s career has been marked by global success, starting with her breakout role in Fast & Furious—a film she credited for changing the course of her life. “You took a chance on a complete unknown and invited me to the ‘Fast and Furious’ family,” she told co-star Vin Diesel, adding, “We’re always family.”

The ceremony, hosted by Steve Nissen, featured Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins and Israeli actress Shira Haas, both of whom praised Gadot for her talent and dedication. The Israeli actress will next be seen as the Evil Queen in Disney’s upcoming Snow White remake, alongside Rachel Zegler.

Gadot has long been an outspoken supporter of Israel, especially in the wake of Hamas’ October 7 attack. As Breitbart News reported, she has criticized the international community for its silence on the atrocities committed against Israeli women, including sexual violence, kidnapping, and murder.

Her unwavering stance has made her a target of anti-Israel activists, who accuse her of ignoring Palestinian suffering. However, Gadot has repeatedly emphasized the importance of empathy for all victims of war while condemning the spread of anti-Israel propaganda.
