Dems Hold Meeting To Address Phone Calls

The Democratic Party is in absolute chaos, and it’s glorious to watch.

After suffering brutal losses in the last election, Democrats now find themselves stuck between a rock and a hard place: their most radical activist groups are furious at them for not “stopping Trump,” while they have no real power to do anything about it.

Axios recently reported that groups like MoveOn and Indivisible have been flooding Democrat lawmakers’ offices with tens of thousands of phone calls, demanding they “do more” to stop Trump’s policies. What’s hilarious is that many of these same Democrats—who spent years encouraging political activism—are now begging their unhinged base to leave them alone.

“You are literally calling the wrong people,” one exasperated House Democrat told Axios.

That’s right. These activists have become so detached from reality that they’ve resorted to harassing their own party—despite the fact that Democrats are now completely powerless in Washington.

And the best part? The calls haven’t stopped.

According to a follow-up report from Axios, Democrats are furious with these progressive groups for tying up their phone lines and making their lives miserable. At a closed-door meeting, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) was reportedly “very frustrated” with the progressive organizations leading the charge against them.

“People are pissed,” said one House Democrat who attended the meeting.

Yeah, no kidding.

These activists are so deranged that they actually believe democracy is “ending” because of Trump and, of course, DOGE leader Elon Musk. Axios reports that lawmakers are comparing the insane number of harassing calls to the October 7th terror attacks and the Trump impeachment hearings—which tells you just how completely unhinged these people have become.

And how did Democrats respond to all of this pressure?

Did they come up with a bold new strategy? Did they try to calm their panicked base?

Nope. They stood outside the Treasury Department and gave angry speeches about Musk.

Even Indivisible co-founder Leah Greenberg admitted that activists aren’t satisfied with the Democrats’ feeble response.

“People are angry, scared, and they want to see more from their lawmakers right now than floor speeches about Elon Musk,” Greenberg told Axios.

But here’s the thing: Democrats know they can’t satisfy these activists without alienating the rest of the country. Their party’s insane, extremist messaging was flatly rejected in the last election. Americans made it loud and clear that they were done with the left’s apocalyptic, rage-fueled politics.

Now, Democrats are stuck. They know they need to pivot to some level of normalcy, yet they also know their base expects them to “declare war” on Trump and “fight in the streets.”

As RedState’s Brandon Morse put it, the so-called “resistance party” is now “scattered, demoralized, and leaderless.” And he’s absolutely right.

Democrats aren’t mad that they’re getting harassed by their own base.

They’re mad because they desperately want to do what these activists are demanding—but they can’t.
