Liz Cheney is at it again, folks.
The former Wyoming congresswoman who once warned us about Kamala Harris’s radical left agenda is now saying the Constitution itself hinges on voting for, wait for it, Kamala Harris. That’s right—the same Harris who’s championed raising taxes, taking away guns, and expanding the federal government to the size of a bloated bureaucracy. But now, according to Cheney, she’s the last best hope for American democracy. You can’t make this stuff up.
In an interview on ABC’s This Week, Cheney gave her full endorsement to Harris over Donald Trump, claiming that those who don’t back Harris in November are somehow turning their backs on the Constitution. So, what happened to Cheney’s 2020 stance, when she warned us that Harris would turn America into a liberal dystopia, a chaotic mess like Portland and Seattle? Seems like a convenient case of amnesia.
“Kamala Harris is a radical liberal who would raise taxes, take away guns & health insurance, and explode the size and power of the federal gov’t,” Cheney said in 2020. “She wants to recreate America in the image of what’s happening on the streets of Portland & Seattle. We won’t give her the chance.”
Cheney’s newfound love for Harris is framed as “putting country over party,” as if we’re supposed to believe that backing a Democrat who’s cozied up to every big-government policy imaginable is the only way to “preserve the Constitution.” It’s a tired old line from the establishment elite—throw your conservative principles out the window because Trump is just that bad. Forget about Harris’s record on gun control or her desire to raise taxes. We’re told none of that matters now.
And let’s not ignore the irony. Cheney insists we need to “rebuild a true conservative movement” after this election, but apparently, the way to do that is by voting for someone who stands against every traditional conservative value. Makes sense, right?
“But this November, casting a vote for Donald Trump or writing someone in means that you’ve made the decision in too many instances that so many elected Republicans have made, which is to abandon the Constitution,” she stated, “to tell yourself that this is just simply, you know, a partisan choice. That’s not what we’re facing this time around.”

This tells you all you need to know about what Republicans think of Cheney.
Could we ever thank the people of Wyoming enough for ridding this country of Liz Cheney pic.twitter.com/r7UvvzMBfD

This whole thing smells more like a personal vendetta against Trump than some noble defense of the Constitution. Cheney’s using scare tactics, trying to guilt conservatives into thinking that unless they vote for Harris, they’re somehow betraying the founding document. Spoiler alert: siding with a radical leftist isn’t how you save the Constitution.
