Congresswoman Lauren Boebert has obtained a temporary restraining order against her unfaithful ex-husband, Jayson Boebert. It seems that the couple’s separation has not been without its tumultuous incidents, with the latest involving accusations of threats and break-ins by Jayson.
The Boeberts have been making headlines since their split in 2023, and not for the right reasons. Last month, Jayson was arrested and charged after allegedly assaulting their eldest son during an argument over laundry. The couple’s children have been caught in the crossfire, as seen in a physical altercation between Jayson and their 18-year-old son.
To protect herself and her children, Lauren Boebert has taken the necessary steps to ensure her safety. The restraining order not only covers her, but also her three youngest sons.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time Jayson has been involved in a domestic dispute. Another incident at a Colorado restaurant resulted in charges of disorderly conduct, trespassing, and obstructing a peace officer. Jayson’s uncooperative behavior at the time further raises red flags about his character.
It seems that Jayson is not taking this restraining order well. He claims to have just found out about it and insists that he is the victim in this situation. Jayson has even gone so far as to accuse Lauren of using the restraining order as a means to justify her move to a new congressional district.
Lauren Boebert’s announcement earlier this year about running for outgoing Representative Ken Buck’s seat in 2024 has been met with mixed reactions. However, using a restraining order as a political maneuver seems far-fetched. It is more likely that Lauren is simply trying to protect herself and her children from a potentially dangerous situation.

Jayson’s lack of accountability and tendency to play the victim in this situation is disturbing. Lauren has been open about her commitment to her marriage and her belief in the importance of the institution. To be accused of infidelity and then have her ex-husband try to justify his behavior by playing the victim is not only insulting, but it also reflects poorly on Jayson’s character.
The Boeberts’ divorce announcement in 2023 was met with sadness from their supporters. The couple had been married for nearly two decades.
