Reeve Interviews Man At Beach

It’s always entertaining when CNN tries to lecture regular Americans about how they should feel about their own wallets—especially when they run into someone like Joe Harner. Now, Joe’s a die-hard Trump supporter, proud boat owner, and someone who’s worked hard his whole life to enjoy a well-earned retirement. But apparently, in Elle Reeve’s world, if you’ve worked hard enough to afford a boat, you lose the right to complain about the economy. Talk about out of touch!

During a MAGA boat parade in Panama City, Florida, Reeve attempted to drop the “gotcha” question of the day: if Joe could afford a boat, was inflation really a big deal for him? You know, because apparently, inflation doesn’t count if you’ve saved up responsibly and retired well. Joe, like a true American, wasn’t having any of that nonsense.

“Listen, nobody gave me s—!” he shot back. And that right there sums up the problem with the Left’s logic. Joe didn’t stumble into his success. He’s retired military and worked at a power plant—he earned every bit of what he’s got. Boats, jet skis, and a comfortable retirement? That’s called the American Dream, not some handout. Joe didn’t wait for some government program to make things happen for him. He did it the old-fashioned way—hard work, discipline, and a whole lot of grit.

But Reeve couldn’t let it go. She pressed on, insinuating that because groceries might not make up the bulk of his budget, people like Joe don’t really care about inflation. Newsflash: just because someone isn’t on the brink of bankruptcy doesn’t mean they should be okay with Biden’s bloated economy.

Joe nailed it when he said, “I want my money to go further… but that covers everybody in the economy.” Exactly! Whether you’re rich, poor, or somewhere in between, inflation bites into everyone’s paycheck. The Left can’t seem to wrap their heads around the fact that lower prices help all Americans, not just those they deem worthy of caring.

And then, in typical CNN fashion, Reeve tried to spin it, asking if Joe was worried his kids wouldn’t be able to afford a house or car. Well, guess what? Joe’s kids are doing just fine, thank you very much. “I train my kids and taught my kids properly. They have great educations, and they’re both successful in their careers. Actually, they‘re doing better than me,” he said. And isn’t that the goal for most parents? To see your kids surpass you, thrive, and live better lives?

But here’s the kicker. Inflation may have cooled to 2.5% recently, but let’s not kid ourselves. The damage is done. Prices are up nearly 21% from four years ago, and families are still feeling the pinch. It’s not just a talking point; it’s a reality every time someone heads to the grocery store or fills up their tank. But CNN seems determined to make you think that if you’re not living paycheck to paycheck, you should just shut up and take it.

Joe Harner didn’t buy into that nonsense, and neither should the rest of America. This idea that caring about the economy only applies to those barely scraping by? That’s the elitist garbage that gets the Left into trouble every time. Everyone, no matter how big or small their bank account, wants to live in a country where their hard-earned money actually means something. Joe gets it. Too bad CNN and the Biden-Harris administration still don’t.
