Kamala Harris really showed us where her priorities are post-debate, didn’t she? While most Americans wanted to hear something about the policies that might actually affect their daily lives, Harris spent way too much time worrying about podium heights.
You’d think someone in her position would be more concerned about communicating her plans—oh, wait, that’s right, she doesn’t want to. She’s not about to give away just how radical her policies are. She’s hoping to coast on a smile and vague promises, but if anyone’s been paying attention to Harris over the years, they know what’s coming.
And speaking of people paying attention, even the left-leaning media has had a hard time ignoring Harris’s wild positions. Remember that brutal three-and-a-half-minute segment from CNN that basically tore her apart? When even CNN can’t sugarcoat it, you know you’re in trouble.
But the real panic among Democrats right now is the polling. Trump is gaining momentum, and it’s starting to look more and more like 2016 déjà vu. The recent New York Times/Siena poll has put him firmly in the driver’s seat and Nate Silver’s forecast? Yeah, the numbers don’t look good for Team Harris. Silver’s latest prediction puts Trump at 64.4% and Harris at a struggling 35.3%, with Trump leading comfortably in the swing states.

Cue the meltdown. Hollywood’s Bette Midler, one of the left’s most vocal celebs, couldn’t handle it. She went off on Nate Silver, accusing him of—wait for it—taking money to fudge the numbers. Because when reality doesn’t fit your narrative, clearly, the only option is to accuse someone of corruption, right?
Who bought #NateSilver and how much did he go for?

But Silver, ever the cool numbers guy, hit back with a wickedly sharp response. He referenced Midler’s Oscar loss to Jodie Foster back in 1991 with a savage poker analogy, suggesting it was just a “bad beat” she couldn’t let go of. Ouch. The irony here is that Midler can’t seem to deal with the idea that Trump might actually win again. Newsflash, Bette: it’s not some conspiracy, it’s math.
👋 Hey Bette!
Understand you may still be frustrated Silence of the Lambs came out the same year as For the Boys so you were pretty much always gonna lose Best Actress to Jodie Foster. In poker, we’d call that a bad beat. But that’s no reason to tweet out conspiracy theories. https://t.co/39Gj3iRarl

And math doesn’t lie. Democrats are scared, and it’s showing. Harris didn’t do herself any favors during the debate, and the media’s desperate attempts to spin the narrative against Trump are nothing new. But at the end of the day, it’s becoming clear who has the momentum. Harris is in trouble, and people like Midler are going to be in full meltdown mode if Trump clinches this election.
If he does win, the collective meltdown from Hollywood and the Democrats is going to be something you’d have to see to believe—though honestly, even then, it might be hard to measure with today’s technology just how epic their fits will be.
