Yep, you heard that right. Fetterman, on the ultra-conservative network, practically handed over Pennsylvania to Trump on a silver platter. His reasoning? Voters will look at Trump versus Kamala Harris and find the choice a no-brainer. Ouch. And just in case anyone thought he was softening the blow, he made it clear: whether it’s Biden, Clinton, or Harris, Pennsylvania is going to be a nail-biter.
Meanwhile, the Democratic establishment is having a collective meltdown over Harris’s choice of Tim Walz as her running mate. Apparently, some folks in the party thought Pennsylvania Governor Joshua Shapiro would have been the smarter pick—given, you know, that he’s actually from a swing state. But no, Harris went with Walz, who’s been dodging the media ever since, probably hoping nobody asks too many questions about his sketchy military record.
Fetterman, of course, wasn’t shedding any tears over Shapiro being passed over. In fact, he might’ve been stoking the rumor mill that Shapiro’s ambitions would eclipse Harris’s. Gotta love that team spirit.
But Republicans are having a field day, accusing Harris of snubbing Shapiro because of his Jewish heritage. J.D. Vance even threw in that progressives would have had a meltdown over a Jewish VP potentially giving Israel a direct line to the White House. Just what Harris needs—a fresh controversy.
With polls showing Harris barely hanging on in Pennsylvania, this drama isn’t helping her case. She knows the Keystone State is crucial, which is probably why she picked Philadelphia to roll out her campaign with Walz.
However, with Fetterman shooting from the hip and Trump circling like a shark, it’s looking like Pennsylvania is going to be ground zero for the 2024 election. Buckle up, Democrats, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
