Well, well, well—Hunter Biden is back in the headlines, and this time, he’s coming after Fox News with legal guns blazing.
Apparently, Hunter is not too pleased with how Fox Nation portrayed him in their series The Trial of Hunter Biden, and he’s decided to make it a legal matter, accusing them of broadcasting explicit images without his permission. It’s all part of his latest lawsuit, which he filed in Manhattan state court. The timing is interesting, though, given that his earlier lawsuit against the network was dropped right around the time Joe Biden decided to back out of the 2024 presidential race.
So, what’s the big deal here? According to Hunter’s legal team, Fox’s series dramatized a fictional court case that portrayed him facing a host of charges he’s never actually been indicted for—things like bribery and violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). The irony here is that while these charges are “fictional,” they’re not exactly far-fetched given Hunter’s history of, well, shady international dealings. But that’s beside the point. The core of his new complaint revolves around the alleged unauthorized use of intimate images, which he claims violates New York’s revenge porn law.

Fox News isn’t having any of it, though. In a statement, the media giant essentially called the lawsuit baseless, pointing out that Hunter didn’t even raise a complaint about the series until two years after it aired. And when he did, Fox acted quickly, pulling the program “in an abundance of caution.”
But let’s be real here—Hunter Biden is a public figure who has spent years under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. As Fox rightly pointed out, he’s been the subject of numerous investigations and, lest we forget, is now a convicted felon. So it’s not exactly surprising that people are interested in his story, fictionalized or not.
The timing of Hunter’s legal attack is also worth noting. Back in July, he dropped a similar lawsuit just hours after Joe Biden decided to step down from the 2024 race. Coincidence? Maybe. But it’s hard not to see a pattern here—whenever the spotlight starts burning a little too hot for the Biden family, legal battles mysteriously appear or disappear. In this case, Hunter’s lawsuit seems like an attempt to rewrite the narrative, to paint himself as the victim rather than the guy who’s been embroiled in scandal after scandal.
Let’s not forget what’s really going on here: Hunter Biden is upset that his dirty laundry is being aired for the world to see. But if you’ve been living the kind of life Hunter has, with business dealings that involve foreign governments, questionable art sales, and legal battles galore, you don’t get to suddenly decide what parts of your story people are allowed to talk about. Public figures don’t get to hide behind the law when the spotlight gets uncomfortable. And Fox, for its part, isn’t backing down either, planning to move the case to federal court where this legal circus can continue.

At the end of the day, this lawsuit feels more like a PR move than anything else. Hunter’s trying to paint himself as the victim here, but let’s be honest—when you’re Joe Biden’s son, and your name is synonymous with scandal, it’s going to take a lot more than a lawsuit to change the narrative.
