As Americans watch the Joe Biden presidency unfolding before them, it is becoming harder and harder not to cringe.
The eldest President to ever be inaugurated for a first term, Joe Biden has been an incoherent mess at time, spouting gibberish and looking generally confused. This has led to plenty of speculation as to whether or not Sleepy Joe is actually even in charge at the White House, or if his team is propping him up for public appearances á la Weekend at Bernie’s.
Now, a former Democratic Congresswoman is suggesting that one of the latest Biden policy projects may actually be taking direction from former President Barack Obama.
Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard suggested that former President Barack Obama is behind the effort to establish a Disinformation Governance Board, which she likened to George Orwell’s famed “Ministry of Truth.”
Gabbard left little room for interpretation.
“Biden is just a front man,” Gabbard said on Twitter Sunday. “Obama, April 21: social media censors ‘don’t go far enough,’ so the government needs to step in to do the job. Six days later, Homeland Security rolls out the ‘Ministry of Truth’ (aka Disinformation Governance Board).”
The timing certainly piqued some Americans’ curiosity.
Obama’s comments come after the Biden administration created a Disinformation Governance Board to be run by the Department of Homeland Security, with the goal of combating online disinformation.
“The goal is to bring the resources of (DHS) together to address this threat,” said Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security Wednesday.
The governance board has been lambasted by liberty lovers, as it presents an unprecedented threat to the First Amendment.
