83-year-old Nancy Pelosi, known for her fierce, leftist views and rambling speeches, reached a new level of absurdity in a recent appearance on ABC’s “This Week.” In an interview with host George Stephanopoulos, Pelosi suggested that states should be able to “overrule” the U.S. Constitution and ban former President Donald Trump from running in the 2024 presidential election.
Stephanopoulos appeared visibly stunned as Pelosi stumbled through her incomprehensible reasoning, seemingly struggling to justify her outrageous statement. The former House Speaker couldn’t coherently explain how states could possibly “overrule” the Constitution without breaking the law. But then again, when has legality ever stopped a Democrat from pushing their agenda?
Pelosi’s blatant disregard for the Constitution is nothing new for Democrats. It seems their strategy is to pick and choose which parts of the document to embrace and which to ignore, depending on their current agenda. In this case, Pelosi has conveniently chosen to reinterpret Article 14, Section 3 of the Constitution, which outlines qualifications for presidential candidates, to justify her delusional theory.
Adding to the absurdity, Pelosi claimed that the American people want politicians to “honor our oath to protect and defend the Constitution,” while simultaneously suggesting that they should completely disregard it.

At this point, it’s hard to tell if Pelosi’s ramblings are a result of her advanced age or her extreme case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Perhaps a curious journalist will ask her how she would feel if a Republican had suggested “overruling” the Constitution to ban a Democratic candidate from the ballot. But we all know the answer to that hypothetical scenario.
In a time where Democrats are pushing for more government control and less individual freedom, Pelosi’s nonsensical suggestion is a worrying sign. It’s clear that she, and many other Democrats, will stop at nothing to push their radical agenda, even if it means trampling on the very document that serves as the foundation of our democracy.
Pelosi’s suggestion that states should be able to “overrule” the Constitution and ban Trump from the 2024 presidential election is just another example of the left’s blatant disregard for the rule of law. It’s a sad day when the Speaker of the House is advocating for the undermining of our Constitution, all in the name of ousting a political opponent. Let’s hope the American people see through these tactics and continue to uphold the values and principles that our country was built on.
