Elon Musk’s platform, X (formerly Twitter), made headlines again on Thursday after left-wing journalist Ken Klippenstein found himself suspended for linking to an article that contained sensitive information about Vice Presidential candidate J.D. Vance.
This wasn’t just any information—it was a 271-page dossier, reportedly obtained from an Iranian hack. Yes, you read that right, an Iranian hack. While this little gem of foreign interference was allegedly passed around to various major media outlets, they all had the sense to decline it. But Klippenstein? He decided to take the bait.
Musk wasted no time in condemning the move, calling it “one of the most egregious, evil doxxing actions we’ve ever seen.” And he’s not wrong. The document reportedly contained not just Vance’s personal details, but actual red flags like physical addresses and parts of his social security number. An X spokesman clarified that this was a clear violation of their policies, which strictly prohibit posting unredacted private personal information. Pretty straightforward, right?
This is one of the most egregious, evil doxxing actions we’ve ever seen.
Presidential candidates are not speculatively in danger – there have already been two attempts on @realDonaldTrump’s life.
Moreover, the doxxing included detailed information on the addresses of their…

Well, not if you ask the left-wing Twitter mobs. Suddenly, they’re waxing poetic about free speech, claiming this is no different than the Hunter Biden laptop fiasco of 2019. Others insisted Klippenstein didn’t actually publish the information, he just linked to it. Oh, okay, so if you leave the door unlocked for a burglar, it’s not your fault, right? Still others took this as yet another golden opportunity to dunk on Musk, labeling him a hypocrite who’s betraying his free speech absolutist stance. Seriously, Musk is now their second favorite villain, right after Donald Trump. Talk about being obsessed.
Let’s be clear here. No one—on any side of the aisle—should be okay with private, sensitive information being spread around the internet like a bad rumor. This isn’t a minor slip-up; it puts J.D. Vance at real risk. We’ve already seen two assassination attempts against Donald Trump. And unlike the Hunter Biden laptop story (which was censored based on “Russian disinformation” claims that were never proven), this dossier seems to have come directly from a hostile foreign government. That’s not just sketchy, it’s dangerous.
But here’s the kicker: the left would lose their minds if they were the ones facing this kind of exposure. Can you imagine the outcry if, say, Kamala Harris or Joe Biden had their personal details leaked in an Iranian hack? You’d see calls for censorship so fast, heads would spin. Remember, this is the same crowd that rallied to shut down the Hunter Biden story under the flimsy banner of “misinformation.” Yet now, when one of their own gets called out for recklessly endangering a political opponent, they clutch their pearls and cry about censorship.
Hey, @elonmusk, assclown, “free speech absolutist,” you just banned Ken Klippenstein for printing the amazingly boring JD Vance dossier like a “free speech absolutist” would

This whole ordeal doesn’t expose Musk as a hypocrite—it exposes the left’s blatant double standards. If the roles were reversed, you can bet they’d be singing a different tune. Maybe it’s time they took a good, hard look in the mirror before pointing fingers.
